UC SHIP:

For physical or mental health concerns, Student Health Services (SHS) and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) are your first stop for care that’s covered by UC SHIP.

SHS and CAPS provide both in person and remote care during normal business hours. After hours, additional physical and mental health services are available through:

  • LiveHealth Online
  • Anthem’s 24/7 NurseLine
  • Crisis (Mental Health) Support:  (209) 228-4266, option #1

Referrals are required from SHS or CAPS for all off-campus care, with the following exceptions:

  • Emergency care
  • Urgent care
  • Pediatric care
  • Obstetrics care
  • Gynecological care
  • LiveHealth Online

If you don’t get a referral from SHS or CAPS and you receive care from an off-campus provider, you may be responsible for the cost of that care. Get more information about accessing off-campus care.
